◈The next one is better than Episode 37 (2)

I took a breather since everything was tied up in the bindings. In order to confirm the identity of the bold attackers, the wizard launched a sphere of light and illuminated the surrounding area.

“Well, I was wrong. Please have mercy just this once.”

“We didn’t know these precious people. Please, please spare my life….”

“Sea Dragon….”

“Please have pity on me….”

However, the appearance of his face is not unusual.

「Thieves│Those who decide to steal others for their own benefit. “There are many people who are proud of their occupation of looting.”

“Hunting dog│An animal that has been tamed by humans. “Loyal and brave.”

Monsters were categorized equally as thieves, and while the type that grovelled for mercy had a good physique or had full-fledged equipment, those that cried out for the sea dragon were too shabby to say the least.

There isn’t even a proper sword, so if you’re holding something like a kitchen knife or a harpoon, you’ll be clueless.

“These guys…”

In the case of the latter, a leather belt is tightly tied around the neck. There are many things that make me uncomfortable to think of them as belonging to the same group.

“under! “Do you want forgiveness for trying to kill someone?”

Meanwhile, the Inquisitor expressed his anger by slamming his mace on the ground. There was nothing strange about this since he tried to cut off his wrists right away even though he was stealing.

“I have no intention of covering up their mistakes, but some of them seem to have circumstances. “Inquisitor.”

“They tried to kill us. If the people passing by were ordinary people and not us, we might have really died. But should we still take the circumstances into account?”

“Hey. Do you have no eyes? Do those guys and these people look the same?”

“So, from the looks of it, it’s still the same as the attacker, isn’t it?”

“Oh, I really don’t understand….”

This is a bit harsh. I saw the prisoner struggling, confirming once again the Inquisitor’s wall-to-wall temperament.

The unsightly people keep praying, but the proper thieves are rolling their eyes. Those guys are really bad guys that can’t be fixed.

“Are even crimes committed due to the oppression and coercion of the Inquisitor a crime?”

“But… there were almost casualties.”

“Of course it is. There is no need for victims to understand that. But did we suffer any harm? Has there been irreparable loss? “Isn’t that right?”

Fortunately, just before Dev passed away out of frustration, the Archmage gently scolded her.

“Forgiving and moving on just because there was no immediate harm is no different from neglecting future events.”

“It’s not wrong. However, it is highly likely that they took up arms under pressure from others. “It means that unless they are forced to do so, they will not take up arms.”

“I’m not sure about that.”

“I’m not even sure if the Inquisitor expected me to take up arms. “No, is that so?”

“….”

“Understanding the difference and giving it a chance is what we call mercy.”

After all, a wise man is a wise man. The Archmage immediately seduced the Inquisitor and looked away.

“I made you wait a long time. Now, it looks like you guys have a situation. Can you tell me about it?”

At her question, those who had been reciting prayers with their heads on the floor slightly raised their heads.

“Are you buying me and saving my life?”

“If your situation falls within the category of understanding.”

Those who were praying had some hope in those words. However, the way their eyes glanced sideways seemed to indicate that they were looking at the real bandits.

Also, it was purely by chance that I read the mouth of one of them – the one who looked like a bandit. Say it right. I thought he was paying attention, but he was really making me care.

“This bastard.”

But before I could step forward and punish him, Dev cracked his head with his foot. It looks like my teeth are falling out, but it’s none of my business since I’m self-employed.

“Just tell me without looking at me.”

The Archmage added a word to that.

The prayers rushed to tell their heart-rending stories.

“We are people who originally lived in the sea. But the sea was so crazy that we could

n’t catch any fish….”

!”

To summarize, the story was that some were taken prisoner by bandits, some were imprisoned alive, and some were mobilized for raids. If that’s true, they must be truly amazing sellers.

“Yes, this is my first time attacking you. “We haven’t killed anyone yet.”

“Give me just one chance. “I will never do this again.”

Given their situation, I don’t think there is any need to kill them even though the system classifies them as thieves.

Those bandits were the ones who led the attack, but they didn’t even participate properly in the attack.

Moreover, this has nothing to do with the devil. As the Inquisitor and Archmage, who had a huge fight due to a misunderstanding, were overlooked and moved on, they were also included in the category of extenuating the concept.

“How can you believe that?”

But this time too, the Inquisitor did not blink. The sound of Dev’s blood standing up was very audible.

“Do you have no eyes?”

“what?”

“There is a big difference in the clothes! Can’t you see the traces of the leash around his neck or the rope on his wrist? Even if there is no camaraderie, there are no thieves who do this to their colleagues.”

He also proved that it was real by mentioning the salt stains on the clothes of the dragon statue commonly held only by those praying – caused by the sea breeze.

He really had an amazing eye for understanding people.

“hmm?”

Then what? It’s become so clear that it’s not moving, isn’t it?

“What are you trying to do?”

“Demon knight?”

Cheonggang!

I struck down my sword and cut the chain. I wasn’t confident that I could break the part that touched the person’s skin without hurting myself, so I aimed for the part that rose from the floor, but fortunately, if I only broke that part, the entire thing was destroyed.

“Thank you. Thank you…”

“The sea dragon will bless you…”

“There is no need for gratitude.”

Gratitude is none of my business and people are being caught alive?

“Tell me where the bandits are.”

It’s not related to the devil, but there’s no way a former knight would miss this. There’s nothing urgent right now and it’s not something that needs to be done in a big way.

“…!”

The released people’s eyes widened and the Inquisitor, who was about to ask something, finally closed his mouth.

“…Anyway, I am a knight.”

For some reason, Dev was laughing and saying things like that.

“Are you going to save me?”

“I have no hobby of leaving bugs alone.”

But the Archmage’s happy face is a bit…

The sin of the concept is too deep. I’m still thankful that they didn’t think of me as a cafe.

* * *

“Is it there?”

“Yes yes. “It’s over there.”

We climbed the mountain with people’s guidance—in fact, these people didn’t know the way either, so Dev did most of the searching. What I soon saw was a wooden barrier and a guard post covering a single cave.

Because it is located in a fairly steep section and the surrounding trees have been completely cut down, it is likely to be difficult to approach without being detected.

To begin with, it seems a bit difficult to climb because it is a rocky area.

“They are located in a difficult place, like a den.”

“People are being held captive, so we can’t let the smoke out…”

While the Archmage and Dev, who were in charge of the party’s intelligence, were pondering, I took a step forward.

“Oh my gosh again…!”

The two people seemed to sense that and let out a low scream, but they couldn’t stop me.

My body touched the ground, which was only overgrown with weeds. Naturally, the guard post erected by the bandits trembled and soon began shooting arrows.

“I—.”

“No, Inquisitor, please step back.”

The Inquisitor, who tried to run out beyond the bushes after me, was stopped. Thanks to this, I was the only one who got hit by an arrow, but it was the path I chose from the beginning. There is no choice but to endure with evil and tenacity.

Quang!

Well, I don’t think there’s any need to go to the extent of enduring evil.

Grumbling,

I swung the two-hender and sent out a slash. The guard post was cut diagonally and collapsed, and the arrow was bounced away by the wind pressure from the slash.

“Kwaaaak!”

A falling log and a person tumble down together, but if they don’t reach me, I don’t care. I put the two-hender into the scabbard.

It’s nothing special, but I wanted to test my fighting skills when my body is surrounded by black energy. Because it is difficult to wield a long weapon like a two-hender in a cave.

“What’s the fuss!?”

“What is that again!”

As we climbed up the sloping ground, some people heard the sound and ran out. It was around the same time that black energy formed on my feet.

Because it was a sloping section, I could only stand up with my front heel, but my body reached the cave entrance in one go.

“What—.”

It is not separately defined as a skill, but if it were, wouldn’t the effect be described as being able to increase jumping power and running speed?

With that thought in mind, I grabbed the guy that stuck his head out of the cave by the collar. The guy who was grabbed by

the collar

was pulled back and thrown down the hill.

“This bastard—gagging!”

One after another, the guy behind him had his neck grabbed by my right arm. I don’t really like touching people with my right arm, but the target I’ve caught now is not a person, but a criminal.

bang!

I pinned him to the wall, turned him into modern art, and then slowly entered the room. Although he didn’t have much energy, his grip strength was so strong that even this was enough to make him faint.

Wood clatter.

…It’s not enough, it’s too much. Sometimes I can’t control my strength or know how much force I should use, to the point where I end up shattering my cervical vertebrae.

Still, it wasn’t intentional. They’re not civilians, they’re criminals.

I rationalize that there are extenuating circumstances.

“what’s the matter!”

“Are you an intruder?!”

Kkkkkkkk!

More than that, this cave looks a lot like a dungeon.

Pow!

I beat the guys who came out with my hands and escaped with my thoughts. It was worth it.

At the end of a long, ordinary rock cave, there were carved stairs and cracked and collapsed pillars. On the wall, piles of naturally formed rocks jut out in a bumpy, attractive way.

“…Are they ruins?”

It doesn’t seem like they were all created artificially, and it seems like the ruins were created by refining the cave that originally existed. It looks like the second bandit took over.

“You bastard—!”

“Pow!”

“Oops!”

I put my fist in the face of the person sticking out from the corner, kicked the dog, and turned on the light.

There was a torch left by the bandits, but this one was brighter.

“Kill!”

However, there seem to be too many flies to look at.

I swatted away the flying arrow with my gauntleted hand. If you swing your hand in one, two, two and a half beats, all the arrows will break and bounce in all directions.

But should this be the end of it?

I ran out and landed a flying knee kick in the face of the guy who fired the arrow. He also quickly took out the dagger from his pocket and threw it at the person behind him.

The aim was not good, but because the distance was short, the dagger hit the back of the hand holding the knife.

I fell to the floor, caught by gravity, along with the person’s collapsing body. Sigh. I didn’t forget to step on the chest of the person who collapsed before me – who was hit by a knee kick.

Pow!

At the same time, my body, which had spun around, performed a spinning kick. The enemy, who lost the timing of his attack due to the sword stuck in the back of his hand, was hit on the temple and fell immediately.

I used my hand to brush away the fluttering coat hem so it wouldn’t bother me, and then entered the cavity behind the people I had just cleared away.

Although there were many collapses and cracks on the sides, there were still recognizable murals, and in the center of the cavity, rock fragments existed like obstacles.

I attacked from the closest area, using rocks as cover to check for hidden objects. Using my survival instinct skill, I stepped on the rock and ran, avoiding the flying arrows, and my body spun around.

widely.

The body rotated 180 degrees, overcame the ceiling height of about 3 meters, and placed its feet on the ceiling. By tilting it backwards, the expanded field of view shows two enemies hiding behind a rock.

Sigh.

I put pressure on my feet and bounced off the ceiling. Of course, I had no intention of hitting my head on the floor, so I immediately spun around and hit one of the guys down.

As the enemy got hit in the bad spot between his neck and shoulder, he fell to the floor and made a crunching sound.

“Hi!”

The other guy seemed to have good reflexes and swung his sword. My back bent to avoid the sword, and my left arm struck the guy’s side.

Quang!

The subject’s body flew away.

But at that moment, an arrow rushed in. It was aiming for my head, but I was able to dodge it by jumping to the side as much as possible.

My lips quirked up.

“You bastards.”

The bandits beyond the rock looked at me with creepy faces.

“dare.”

My legs hit the ground like a bullet hit by a pestle. The energy surrounding the fist hit exactly the spot of the person who had just fired the arrow.

Quang!

The rock connected to the wall shattered. If the subject hadn’t relaxed his legs and slipped, his body might have ended up like that. Of course, even if that were the case, I would have avoided it and hit the wall.

“It’s a monster…”

Aside from that, this attack power is beyond even my imagination.

I tried light jumping and running a lot in the early morning to get a feel for it, but I couldn’t practice hitting something because there was no target and the noise was too loud.

Therefore, I had no idea that it had such destructive power. If I had known, I wouldn’t have hit it so hard.

“Ugh…”

Still, it didn’t break down. Let’s look at it like that. Just take a look.

I said something to myself and pulled out my arm that was stuck in the rock. The person sprawled below me looked up at me and saw that his crotch was getting dark and wet.

bang.

Tingting.

Clink.

The sound of weapons dropping began to sound like an ensemble.
